briefing

We listen to our clients’ requirements and their project goals and objectives in great detail. Agreeing on a definitive project brief is critical to ensuring a smooth project that delivers on the agreed-upon goals.

research

Based on our briefing, we will research the optimal approach to meet our client’s needs. We create detailed mood boards to guide you through the project and will engage in discussions at each stage to ensure a mutually agreed upon route forward.

Concept / Design

Each design concept is shaped from the definitive project brief and all project research conducted in each case. Our focus combines professional design with clear functionality.

Statutory Consents and Duties

We assist in the preparation of Statutory Applications including Planning Applications, Fire Safety Certificate Applications and Disability Access Certificate applications. We act as Design and Assigned Certifiers with regard to the Building Control (Amendment) Regulations.

Tender Action and Pre-Construction

Steps are taken in seeking tenders from prospective contractors. We will assist in the appointing of the successful tenderer. Measures will be taken to ensure that the contractor has been properly appointed in accordance with the requirements of the client and project. MCLA will provide advice and recommendations during this process.

On-Site Operations and Completion

The MCLA team will monitor the execution of the agreed contract in accordance with the scope of the works and the conditions of the contract governing it.
